FAQ
Do I need to be a ChurchDesk customer to buy the product?
No, ChurchDesk Terminal is a new separate and stand-alone product from ChurchDesk. It does not require a regular ChurchDesk subscription. If you are a current customer you can buy ChurchDesk Terminal and it will be integrated seamlessly into your ChurchDesk experience.
What happens if I choose to terminate my ChurchDesk Terminal subscription?
You need to write your notice of non-renewal to support@churchdesk.com and follow our termination notice of two full calendar months in our T&S. Further, you need to return the Terminal to ChurchDesk as this is rented.
What if the tablet is stolen, goes missing or is destroyed?
You will have to notify ChurchDesk at support@churchdesk.com and we will send a new tablet and stand to you for a replacement fee of £390 (£240 for the tablet, £150 for the stand).
Will the SIM card add extra costs?
The sim card is included in the subscription and there is no data charge.
Can I customise the amounts displayed?
Yes. You can specify three differing giving options that people can easily select. Finally the donor can decide to enter a different amount if they prefer.
Is WIFI required?
No. Wifi is only used during setup after which everything can be run via the 4G simcard. WIFI is however supported.
What payment options are supported?
Visa, Mastercard, Girocard and American Express contactless cards and NFC-based mobile wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay). PIN input is also supported.
How are the transaction costs paid?
You find the transaction costs here. The fee is deducted from the payment before it is transferred to your bank account.
How are the payment transferred to our bank account
Payments received via your terminal are transferred monthly to the bank account you have set. The transfer amount is calculated 10 days before the last day of the month and transferred to the church's account on the last banking day of the month. Transfers may vary by 1–2 days depending on the church's bank.
Can donations be refunded?
No. Donations can’t be refunded.
Can I use ChurchDesk Terminal for payments?
Yes, you will be able to offer contactless payments e.g. for tickets at the door. Simply create a payment project for any occasion.
